1-Bit VFX - Pack 1

This pack contains a variety of black-and-white visual effects at 16x16. Most animations are made up of eight frames. A couple have four and one has sixteen. The goal of this pack is to include a decent variety of effects that would work well together in a game.

All sprites have alpha channels built-in where needed. The other miscellaneous sprites, like simple ground tiles, from the GIFs on this page are also included.

It's always helpful to hear what others need for their own projects so feel free to comment with the sorts of assets you wish you could find.

This pack currently includes 42 spritesheet files total, plus the random sprites for cannon, debris, tiles, etc. that are in the animated GIFs.

Usage

Most of the sprites are made to face right since that is generally treated as 0 degrees (or 0 radians) and therefore they can be rotated to any needed angle without having to compensate for the built-in angle. 

As 1-bit images, these animations are also very easy to tint to any color needed.
